Yet another ad agency that nobody has ever heard of (Velti) has published a report on mobile usage. Generally in these cases the report will shows that iOS totally cleans up, laying the smack down on android. It is amazing when you consider that the Android OS accounts for 70% of the smartphones worldwide, yet when it comes to ad impressions 8 in 10 devices are iOS. 70% of the phones account for only 34% of ad impressions. Does this mean that people with Android phones do not browse the internet on their smartphone? Do not use apps with ads in? Seems a bit odd.
Who cares though, nobody likes adverts. By their very nature they are intended to distract you from what you are doing. So it seems to me that this is just another reason to go Android.
